2024 Commodore’s Bluefish Tournament Rules

1. Contest date is Sunday, September 22, 2024
2. Fishing time is 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
3. Entrance fee is $20.00 per person.
4. Open to any member and guests.
5. Contest participants must fish on an EEYC members’ boat.
6. All fish to be caught on a rod and reel or handline.
7. Roster lists must be submitted no later than 5pm Sat. Sept. 15, 2024
8. Weigh-in time will be 1:PM to 2:PM. Must be at the scale by 2PM sharp.
9. Prizes to be awarded based on the weight of un-gutted fish only:

          1^st Prize – $200.00 for heaviest fish
          2^nd Prize – $100.00 for the 2^nd heaviest fish
          3^rd Prize – $50.00 for the 3^rd   heaviest fish

*****  Same person may not qualify for more than one prize  ****

CONTEST BOUNDRIES ARE WITHIN LONG ISLAND SOUND

10. All fish must be brought in by boat and weighed in at the EEYC by a member of the fish contest committee.
11. Person submitting fish for weigh in must be on a submitted roster and the person who caught the fish.
12. All prize fish may be subject to inspection by a fishing committee member.
13. Violations of any of the above rules eliminates the entire boat roster.
14. Your choice of fish must be done prior to weigh in. No exceptions.
15. In case of a tie (two fish of equal weight) first fish weighed-in places higher.
